1. LOCATION:

Columbia County Fair Grounds, 5462 Columbia Road, Grovetown, Georgia (enter from William Few Parkway)

2. HOURS OF OPERATION:

Vendor Early Set Up: Friday, May 10th 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11th 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Market Hours: Saturday, May 11th 7:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. noon.

We advertise that the market will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Therefore, the management requests that dealers be set up by 7:00 a.m. and remain open until closing time. We will have security at the site from7:00 p.m. Friday till 6:30 a.m. Saturday. There will be no security or coverage for any dealers not open for business by 6:30 a.m. that morning and the event is not responsible for unattended booths.

There will be Rotarian’s present Friday and Saturday morning to help you find your space.

Rental payments are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the host. If payment is made by check and that check is returned all following rental payments must be made in cash and a $20.00 returned check fee will be charged.

3. RESERVATIONS:

All spaces must be reserved at the event web site http://www.giantcommunityyardsale.com. Rent for spaces must be paid by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 7th. Any reservations after the 7th will be charged an additional $5.00 per booth at the gate. Any reserved space that is not occupied by 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10th. will be considered vacant and available for rent.

All spaces not paid for by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday will be considered available for new vendors to rent for the following weekend.

4. MERCHANDISE:

The Rotary Club of Columbia County's GIANT Community Yard Sale prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, pornographic materials, counterfeit merchandise or any other items specified by management. The host approval is necessary to sell any food or confection items. Any dealers who display objectionable merchandise or who conduct themselves in a manner, which disrupts the market or other dealers, will be removed from the premises. GIANT Community Yard Sale management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Booths, merchandise, and trash are to be removed from your spot and the fairgrounds by 2:00 p.m.

5. ELECTRICITY:

Outlets are not available at each booth.

6. WALLS:

Each space is identified by numbers and dealers must display their merchandise within their own area. Walls may not be erected closer than 6 inches from the aisle line. Height of the walls must not exceed 6’6”. Any materials (peg board, walls, dry wall, etc.) nothing may be attached to the property becomes a part of the building without prior permission from GIANT Community Yard Sale management. No paint on or stakes in the asphalt is allowed.

7. SECURITY:

The market gate will be locked at all times when closed. However, GIANT Community Yard Sale does not carry insurance covering the loss of dealers’ merchandise and will not be responsible for the loss of merchandise by reason of theft, disappearance, fire, windstorm or other risks. We suggest that you consider obtaining appropriate insurance to protect your merchandise.

For set up, one of the front gates will be unlocked for admittance. There will be a ‘sign in’ sheet for all those entering to sign in. While working in your booth, do not let anyone enter your booth or another booth. If you see someone wandering around and they do not have a booth in your section please come to the front gate and let us know. Do not enter another dealer’s booth under any circumstances without his/her permission.

8. SUBLETTING:

No dealer may sublet part of his space to another dealer nor transfer his space to another dealer when he leaves the market.

9. TRASH:

Each dealer should clean his space to the aisle line at the end of the day and must dispose of his own trash. A trash dumpster is provided. A $50.00 fee will also be charged to any vendor leaving trash, boxes, displays, etc. at their booth; plus all of said property will be disposed of. ALL BOXES must be broken down BEFORE they are placed in the dumpster.

10. INDEMNIFICATION:

Each dealer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GIANT Community Yard Sale and The Rotary Club of Columbia County from any kind of loss, cost or expense of any sort or nature. Each dealer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GIANT Community Yard Sale and The Rotary Club of Columbia County from any liability to any person on account of any damage to personal or property resulting or occurring by reason of use and occupancy of space(s) by a dealer. Including any liability arising from the sales of goods or services, or for any failure of a dealer to comply in any respect with or to perform any of the requirements and provisions of these operating rules and regulations.

11. AGREEMENT TO RULES

By payment and participating in said event, you agree to the above agreement.
